6th ICEHTMC 2025: A new opportunity for CE Development & Networking
The most important Clinical Engineering event worldwide!
Dear Colleagues, Friends and Members of the Global Clinical Engineering Community
On behalf of the Scientific Program Committee of the 6th ICEHTMC, I extend my heartfelt thanks to all contributors (SPC members, reviewers, track chairs, session chairs and many others whose expertise shaped the scientific program), as well as to all presenters and participants.
The Congress brought together an unprecedented diversity of perspectives from a wide range of stakeholders, with papers presented in 7 parallel tracks (6 oral and 1 poster) underlining the breadth and depth of CE/HTM practice. All sessions were live-streamed with more than 3 million views!
The presentations were complemented by two Keynote Lectures, two Workshops, a Panel Discussion on Harmonisation of Medical Device Regulations and a Short Course. Together with the Global CE Summit and the Sharing the World of Clinical Engineering forum, there could not have been a more fitting celebration of the 10th Anniversary of Global Clinical Engineering Day, first announced during the 1st ICEHTMC held in Hangzhou, China in 2015!
Our Chinese hosts and colleagues deserve our deepest gratitude for the warm welcome, unmatched venues and organisation, and valued technical support; these all contributed to making the 6th ICEHTMC a uniquely memorable event!

Dear Colleagues, Friends and Members of the Global Clinical Engineering Community
On behalf of the Global Clinical Engineering Alliance (GCEA), I also extend my thanks to those who contributed to this great Congress from around the world. There were several ways to represent your countries, through Abstracts, Reviewers, Case Studies, Academia, Industry, Ministries of Health, UN Agencies, and through our Member Societies. Overall, 100 countries from all six WHO regions provided a voice and best practices of how health technology is managed, one-third of them women in key roles.
China provided an incredible 40% of Abstracts and over 600 on-site registrants, led by the Journal of China Medical Devices (CMD) team and the Chinese Society of Clinical Engineering (CSCE). International participants ranged from first-time on-site teams from Egypt, Indonesia, Laos, Mongolia, Haiti, Chile, Thailand, and Georgia to 40+ Fellows from AMTZ India’s World Health Innovation program (virtually), to long-standing CE-BME national societies such as Italy’s AIIC, Brazil’s ABEClin, Saudi Arabia’s MEEMPA, Bangladesh’s CEAB, UK’s IPEM, Japan’s JACE, Canada’s CMBES, and South Africa’s CEASA. And Agencies like UNOPS and NGO’s like HUMATEM and Pul Alliance.
Check out the Global CE Summit and the Sharing the World of CE forum, where 20+ countries and WHO shared accomplishments and priority steps going forward!
As a Track leader, I got to see first-hand the excellence of oral presentations, showing key solutions and frameworks for action that can make a difference in all countries. Real-time plans for action were established in some of these great sessions; maybe one you need!
Thank you once again to everyone who contributed for your dedication and efforts. Now begins the hard work of making change where needed; we can do this together better!
Your friend,
Tom Judd
