Venezuela Earthquake – Situation Update
Two major earthquakes (Magnitude 7.2 and 7.5) struck north-central Venezuela on June 24, 2026
Approximately 91 hospitals are located in areas of severe ground shaking, including 20 major referral hospitals.
The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) has activated its emergency health response to support the Ministry of Health.
GCEA Status: Monitoring the situation, engaging with international Clinical Engineering partners, assessing healthcare technology needs, and identifying opportunities to support healthcare recovery and long-term health system resilience.
